alittlejenny said: hey! hows the food? i only went to seoul but i really love the fresh seafood and everything like that. my favorite dish was the live octopus haha
In my homestay in Abashiri the food was very nice and authentic. Rice with every meal, miso soup etc. We had a sushi night with a ton of sashimi, tempura, shrimp. We also had a barbecue on open charcoal flames. So many different kinds of meat, but my favourite was the grilled onigiri. When I went to Japanese school my home stay mother made me a real bento with fried egg, hamburger meat, fruit, rice ball, etc. I had a really fun time eating lunch with the students too!

So I’m staying in a hotel in Kyoto. I had an indescribable time with my homestay in Hokkaido. If you want to know anything about my wonderful time in Japan, my ask box is open.
